Darren and Cara’s wedding at the fabulous Bron Eifion Country House Hotel in Criccieth. Our first wedding this year and our first ever wedding blog entry too! We had an absolute ball with this couple, we hit it off from the initial conversation and after a brief meeting with them and their four children we knew it would be a great day!
Cara and the three girls were getting ready at a lovely quaint guest house in the centre of Criccieth, it was easy to get some adorable shots of mum and daughters all getting ready together and by the time we were off to the venue everyone seemed relaxed and raring to go.
Getting married in April is always a bit of a risk with the weather but luckily they couldn’t have planned it better, it was a beautiful sunny spring day, perfect for venturing down to the beach post ceremony to capture the couples shots. Darren and Cara had been very specific about the family history relating to Criccieth and their reasons for getting married there. It was really important to them to have some pictures with the Castle in the background and after a little bit of polite crowd control, the beach and backdrop were ours for the taking.
We were honoured to be seated as guests for a delicious sit down meal at the reception and even had an invite (of which we had to regretfully decline) to stay and join the evening party. Overall it was a perfect day and an absolute pleasure to be a part of. So many laughs and lots of banter really made our job a joy to do.
Here’s what they had to say about us…
“So, let’s just start by saying we would give Dan (and Gemma) 6* plus if we could. Honestly, we couldn’t of imagined a better wedding photographer! From first meeting to final pics we were blown away by the professionalism and friendliness that Dan offered (banter galore!) to the point where seats as named guests at our Wedding Breakfast seemed a obvious and normal thing to do.
With 4 children it was important to us that they felt comfortable in front of the camera and both Dan and Gemma took the time to bond with the children so that on the day our photos were natural and everyone was at ease. The end results are simply stunning and we couldn’t be happier. Nothing was too much trouble and our ideas and thoughts for the day were very much considered and encouraged (trip from venue to beach, confetti drop, bouquet throw etc etc) We could go on and on but I think all we need to say is please don’t even take time to consider, honestly, if you book Dan you won’t be disappointed!
Thanks again Dan and Gemma for playing such an important part of our special day xxx”
