Jon and Sue, Church Farm, Wirral

Before booking us Sue and Jon asked if we could meet for a coffee and a chat to discuss their wedding and what they wanted out of the photography, they were very specific about the non-intrusive, natural style they were after, which we were more than happy to provide. We love spending time looking for those perfect moments and will always be snapping away in the background whilst you’re enjoying your day.

The venue was incredible, having not spent much time in the Wirral we didn’t know quite what to expect. We had been told it would be festival themed but nothing could have prepared us for just how awesome it would be. We arrived at Church Farm and after driving through a busy visitors centre with tractor rides and farm animal themed attractions, we were worried we might have come to the wrong venue. Still we carried on past the main centre where the fields opened out and saw a sign that said, wedding this way…and there it was, behind some tall hedge rows, a field overlooking a stunning view of the Dee Estuary with the grandest wedding Tipi I have ever seen.

I may have forgotten to mention that Jon and Sue also managed to pick one of the hottest and sunniest days of the year to get married which was absolutely perfect for their simple outdoor ceremony, with guests sitting on blankets set out on the straw bales to watch.

Not a detail was missed that day, the guests devoured delicious looking picnic hampers containing all kinds of food and wine, the afternoon entertainment consisted of a ukulele band with about 30 players playing all of the modern and retro hits to get people dancing and to top it off an ice cream cart handing out much needed ice cream to cool everyone down after dinner.

Jon and Sue were a laugh all day and made us feel like part of the family. It was an absolute privilege to be a part of their wedding. If you ever go to the Wirral, don’t forget to check out the family Church Farm attraction and the hidden gem of a tipi venue too!

Here’s what they had to say about us…

Dan, Gemma. We don’t know what to say apart from thank you both so much. You captured moments we’d forgotten, moments we missed and moments we’ll never forget. In ways that capture the essence of the day and being able to share it with those we love dearly, we now have something to look back on for the rest of our days. There’s always some key players that made our day special and you guys are way up there, so thank you again for all you’ve done.

Live long and prosper!

Sue & Jon xx
